KwaZulu-Natal: At 10H03 Monday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of burns near a secondary school off the P57 in Izingolweni on the KZN South Coast.

Reports from the scene indicate that a 37-year-old male sustained first and second degree burns to large portions of his body when a container of petrol caught alight.

The patient required Advanced Life Support intervention to stabilise him.

Once treated the patient was transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
