KwaZulu-Natal: At 10H42 Saturday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of falls in Seaview on the KZN South Coast.

Reports from the scene indicate that a 34-year-old male construction worker sustained moderate injuries when a concrete block slipped trapping the man underneath while working on a drain pipe.

His colleagues immediately set up a rope system to lift the Block and pull him to safety.

The patient was assessed on scene by an Advanced life support paramedic and once stabilised was transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
