KwaZulu-Natal: At 12H26 Friday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a diving incident in Umkomaas on the KZN South Coast.
Reports from the scene indicate that an adult male scuba diver went into cardiac arrest shortly after surfacing.
Fellow divers had initiated CPR while the boat raced back to shore where CPR was continued by an Advanced life support paramedic.
Despite best efforts to save the man's life he was sadly declared deceased on the scene.
All necessary authorities were on scene.
