KwaZulu-Natal: At 15H00 Sunday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of drowning on a La Lucia beach off Eastmoore crescent, north of Durban.
Reports from the scene indicate that a 25-year-old male went swimming with friends when he was swept away by rough surf.
uMhlanga lifeguards were alerted to the incident who responded and searched the area but could not find any signs of the missing man.
The man currently is presumed drowned.
All necessary authorities were on scene.
