KwaZulu-Natal: At 15H05 Tuesday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the N3 near the R603 Umlaas offramp.
Reports from the scene indicate that a light motor vehicle and a heavy motor vehicle were involved in a collision.
A total of five patients were treated on scene by various ambulance services.
All the injured have been transported to hospital for further treatment.
All necessary authorities are on scene to investigate.
Both the North and south bound lanes have been affected and traffic is severely backed up.
