KwaZulu-Natal: At 15H32 Friday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a pedestrian collision on Eberling Street in La Mercy.

Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a bakkie lost control striking a 14-year-old male before crashing into a tree.

The patient was assessed on scene and found to have sustained moderate injuries.

With the assistance of the Community Emergency Response Team the patient was stabilised and transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
