KwaZulu-Natal: At 16H42 Tuesday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a person who had been injured on a popular hiking trail in Shongweni, Durban.
Reports from the scene indicate that a 59-year-old female had fractured her ankle while hiking with family.
Emergency Services were alerted and once on scene had to hiked to where the patient had been injured.
The patient was treated in scene by an Advanced life support paramedic and once stabilized was carried to an awaiting ambulance who transported her to hospital for further treatment.
