KwaZulu-Natal: At 20H35 Monday evening Netcare 911 responded to reports of a shooting at a house adjacent to the Anglican church in Hambanathi North of Durban.

Reports from the scene indicate that a 50-year-old male believed to be a paster had been shot in the head.

A Netcare 911 Emergency Care Practitioner assessed the patient who was found in a critical condition.

A full advanced life support resuscitation was initiated however the patients condition rapidly deteriorated and sadly succumbed to his injuries.

Circumstances leading up to the shooting will be investigate by the SAPS.
