KwaZulu-Natal: At 22H31 Monday night Netcare 911 responded to reports of a shooting outside a residence on Fernham Drive in Redfern Phoenix, Durban.

Reports from the scene indicate that an adult male and adult female had sustained gunshot wounds in an alleged ambush.

Paramedics arrived on scene to find a large police presence.

Both patients were assessed on scene by a Paramedics but tragically had succumbed to their injuries and were declared deceased on the scene.

Circumstances leading up to the shooting will be investigated by the Phoenix SAPS who were on scene.

Netcare 911 would like to express our condolences to the family of the deceased.
