KwaZulu-Natal: Late Sunday afternoon Netcare 911 was alerted to reports of a shooting on the corners of Northern and Sunford drive in Phoenix.

Reports from the scene indicate that an adult male tow truck operator was shot when a white car approached him and opened fire.

The patient was assessed on scene by medics however there were no signs of life and he was declared deceased on the scene.

Circumstances leading up to the shooting will be investigated by the Phoenix SAPS who were on scene.
