MINISTER MBALULA MOURNS THE LOSS OF MR LUCKY MABASA

The Minister of Transport, Mr Fikile Mbalula mourns the loss of Mr Lucky Mabasa, the Head of Road Safety at the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) after a short battle with Covid19.

The RTMC announced with sadness the passing of Mr Lucky Mabasa who led the implementation of road safety programmes with great passion, enthusiasm and dedication.

“This COVID19 pandemic continues to rob us of many talented men and women whose contribution to society will be hard to replicate. Mr Mabasa was a dedicated public servant who worked tirelessly to ensure South Africans are safe on the roads. Many of his colleagues attest to his selfless work ethic and love for all people. As we continue to work to ensure our roads are safe his memory will live on. I send my sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues,” Minister Mbalula said.

Mr Mabasa was admitted in hospital due to COVID19 complications and he lost his battle with the virus on the 5th of July 2020.
