SANDTON WATCH/JEWELLERY HEIST: PERSONS OF INTEREST BEING SOUGHT

Four “persons of interest” are being sought following a multi-million rand day-light watch and jewellery robbery at a Sandton store, north of Johannesburg.

A reward is now on offer for information on their whereabouts.

Private Investigator, Heinrich Viljoen, said: “Two men and two women were positively identified from CCTV footage and could assist with investigations.

“The robbery took place in July at House of Ameera in Nelson Mandela Square Sandton. It was well-planned and executed.”

Viljoen said millions of rands of watches and diamonds were stolen.

“The persons of interests could possibly be around the Johannesburg and/or Cape Town areas. We will pay a reward for positive information,” Viljoen said.

He appealed to anyone with information to come forward promising to protect tipsters.

The two male suspects are apparently well-known members of a gang on the Cape Flats.
