Minister of Police to open new police station in the Nyanga Cluster and launch Western Cape Safer Festive Season plan.

Western Cape: Minister of Police General Bheki Cele, the National Commissioner General Khehla John Sitole and Provincial Commissioner General Khombinkosi Jula will tomorrow Tuesday, 11 December 2018 officially launch the Western Cape Safer Festive Season Plan and officially open a new Police Station in Samora Machel, in the Nyanga Cluster in Cape Town.

The new police station will serve the community of Samora Machel in Nyanga following an outcry from community members that population growth and spatial development in the area necessitated the establishment of another police station. The new facility will alleviate case load from Nyanga police station which is currently the murder capital of the country. Additional personnel and vehicles have been allocated to Samora Machel to serve the community.
