As we hit the third wave of Covid-19, Eastern Cape SAPS has painted the streets and corners of Makhanda in blue with a mission to step on the authority of the state in order to serve and protect the communities of South Africa. Throughout the day, teams focused on the softer policing approach which dealt with awareness campaigns, stop and search loud hailing that were conducted to educate communities on Gender Based Violence and Femicide and members were reminded of the Disaster Management Act regulations.
