Gauteng: The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) would like to warn the public about a fake traffic officer learnership recruitment currently circulating on social media platforms.

The fake job advert indicates that there are vacant internship opportunities for 200 traffic trainees at the RTMC. Furthermore; a picture of the National Traffic Police Officers is illegally placed on the advert to legitimize it. The fake advert indicates a stipend payment of R5400 per month over a period of 15 months.

The Road Traffic Management Corporation categorically states it is currently not recruiting traffic officer learners. When posts do become vacant, the corporation will advertise its vacancies through various reputable platforms, including our website, mainstream media and RTMC social media platforms.
Members of the public are warned not to fall prey to this scam.
We wish to further advice members of the public to report such scams to law enforcement agencies. It is common cause that, these fake messages require people to make payments in order to access the opportunities. As a public institution we do not charge applicants for any employment opportunities within the organisation.
