SAPS need assistance in solving a murder of woman, 37 #CrimeStop

Eastern Cape: The SAPS seek the assistance of any person that can provide information with regards to murder at Burgersdorp on 1 August 2018. It is alleged that on the 31 July 2018 the husband of the deceased, aged 37 left his wife at their residential place at Thembisa Township, situated at Burgersdorp and left for work. On his arrival from his work place the next morning he found his wife murdered in their bedroom with cut wounds at the upper body.

The investigating team working around the clock to get positive results in the case. There is no arrest at this stage. The SAPS request anyone with information to contact the local Police or the investigating officer, Detective W/ O Silwana at cell 082 44 233 74 or Tel 051 65 31 700.

Aliwal North Cluster Commander Brigadier Trevor Mey condemned the senseless killing as crimes against woman and children are seen as a priority in the SAPS.
“Our members will work tirelessly to further investigate the murder case, “he said.

He further appealed to the community to come forward with positive information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect so that they can face the mighty hand of the law.
