1. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Free State, North West, Western Bushveld of Limpopo, Gauteng, western Mpumalanga, extreme western parts of KwaZulu-Natal, northern interior of Eastern Cape, Central Karoo of the Western Cape, in places over the Northern Cape.

1. Heavy rainfall leading to localised flooding is expected over the south
western Cape Winelands, western Overberg and Cape Metropole (Informal settlements) on Friday.

SPECIAL WEATHER ADVISORIES:

1. A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected over the eastern parts of North West and Free State from Thursday, the Lowveld of Mpumalanga and Limpopo from Friday, the entire provinces of Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Gauteng from Saturday, continuing until at least Monday.
2. Hot and humid weather will result in extremely uncomfortable conditions over the Lowveld of Mpumalanga and Limpopo on Friday, spreading across the provinces on Saturday until at least on Monday.
3. Extremely hot conditions are expected over the Lowveld of Mpumalanga and Limpopo on Friday, spreading across the provinces on Saturday until at
least on Monday.
4. Strong North-westerly winds (50 to 55km/h) are expected over the Central Karoo District (Western Cape) and Karoo Hogland municipality (Northern Cape) on Friday.

Cloudy in the east in the morning with fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers, except in the north-east. It will be very hot over the Western Bushveld.

4. NORTH-WEST PROVINCE:

Fine and hot to very hot, becoming partly cloudy in the east.

5. FREE STATE:

Fine and hot, but cool along the Lesotho border. It will become partly cloudy in the east in the afternoon.
6. NORTHERN CAPE:

Fine and warm to hot, but cool in the south. It will partly cloudy in the west.
The wind along the coast will be moderate south-easterly in the morning, becoming westerly to north-westerly from the afternoon.

7. WESTERN CAPE:

Partly cloudy and cool to warm.
The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north to north-westerly in the west, becoming strong from the afternoon, otherwise moderate north-easterly to easterly.

Cool along the coast, otherwise fine and warm, becoming cloudy in the south west in the evening.
The wind along the coast will be Moderate north westerly in the east during the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh north easterly.

Early morning fog along the escarpment, otherwise fine and warm.
The wind along the coast will be Light to moderate north westerly, becoming fresh to strong north easterly from late morning.

10. KWAZULU-NATAL:

Partly cloudy in the morning and afternoon with morning fog expected over the western interior, otherwise fine and warm but hot in the north-west.
The wind along the coast will be Gentle to moderate south to south-westerly north of Durban in the morning otherwise easterly to north-easterly.
