#ServiceExcellence celebrated at the Personnel Excellence Awards ceremony.
The Divisional Commissioner for Personnel Management, Lieutenant General Ntshiea has commended the recipients of the second annual Personnel Management Awards for making a positive impact in their respective fields of work.
The General delivered the welcoming address on Friday, 07 December 2018 at Saint George Hotel, where men and women were honored for energetically pursuing a just and equitable safe South Africa.
Launched in 2015 by the Personnel Management Division, the awards serve to celebrate men and women in the SAPS, who play an active role in projecting a positive image of the SAPS through diligent service delivery in their respective fields.
Among the award recipients, was 60-year-old John Mahlangu. Mahlangu is a dedicated housekeeper at Head Office. Receiving an award on the night, was an unforgettable experience for him.
The winner of the Disability Person of the Year award, Personnel Officer K Masilela, also scooped the award for Woman of the Year. Masilela is a woman with integrity and prudence, who initiated the Take a Girl Child National Programme.
Administrative Clerk VJ Mkhize was bestowed of the award for the best Sports person living with disability of the Year.
Brigadier K Jonker received the award of Senior Administration Manager. The Brigadier and her team also excelled as she was called back to the stage to collect the Administration Team of the Year award.
The awards ceremony was also attended by the Deputy National Commissioner for Human Resource Management, Lieutenant General Bonang Mgwenya, who lauded the exceptional winners and articulated that teamwork is a mechanism to achieve common vision in the working environment.
