Shortly after 08H45 Tuesday, 03 July 2018 – Netcare 911 responded to an accident on the R24 direction Krugersdorp in Elberta, Gauteng.

On arrival Netcare 911 and other emergency medical services found that a car had rear-ended a truck and the two were now standing stationery on the left lane. Upon closer inspection, paramedics found a female in her 20s entrapped in the vehicle and in a critical condition. The fire department extricated the patient before she could be intubated and stabilised on scene, she was then airlifted by Netcare 911 to hospital for further medical care.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not yet known to our paramedics.
