Suspect arrested for illegal possession of firearm

FREE STATE – On the 08 August 2020 at about 18:50, the Bethlehem Public Order Police followed a crime intelligence led information with regard to a truck transporting a person who is in possession of unlicensed firearms.

The members spotted and stopped the truck on R26 Bethlehem/Fouriesburg road and searched it as well as a bag belonging to the passenger. The police found two (2) firearms and ammunitions. The serial numbers of both firearms were filed off.
