The 16 days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children Campaigns continue #SafetyFriday #SaferFestiveSeason

Limpopo: The Police in Polokwane yesterday conducted a crime awareness campaign at Limpopo Mall were various stakeholders such as Department of Social development, Ledet, Child-line and the Department of Community Safety participated.
The Cluster Commander Major General Lesiba Mashilo as he addressed the attendees said "We need to play our part as the olive and members of the community to prevent the issue of domestic violence".
He urged the community members to report any form of abuse to the relevant authorities. He also discouraged them from withdrawing domestic related cases and further shared the following safety tips:
Dangers of carrying large amount of money and hitchhiking, they were urged to use public transport instead. General also thanked different churches for the role they play in the fight against crime.
