The 19th annual #NetcareRehabilitationHospital #SportsDay kicked-off this morning, 11 October 2019, at the hospital’s premises in Auckland Park, Johannesburg. This inspiring event is a highlight on the sporting calendar for people with a disability and has proved to be immensely popular over the years. This year’s #SportsDay was no different, and was attended by hundreds of participants and spectators. A wide range of sports such as wheelchair basketball, wheelchair volleyball, wheelchair races, quad rugby, and tug-of-war took place. New events this year included adaptive scuba diving and adaptive yoga.
