eastern parts of the Northern Cape, the southern parts
of the Free State and the Little Karroo of the Western
Cape, as well as the extreme northern parts of the Eastern
Cape.

1. A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected
over Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Free State, North West, and parts of the Northern Cape until at least Monday, as well as until Tuesday over the south-western Bushveld of Limpopo.

Partly cloudy and hot with isolated afternoon showers
and thundershowers.
The expected UVB sunburn index: Extreme

2. MPUMALANGA:

Fine and warm but very hot in the Lowveld, becoming partly
cloudy in the west where showers and thundershowers are
possible in the afternoon.

3. LIMPOPO:

Fine and hot to very hot.

4. NORTH-WEST PROVINCE:

Fine and hot to very hot, becoming partly cloudy in the
afternoon.

5. FREE STATE:

Fine and hot to warm, becoming partly cloudy in the

6. NORTHERN CAPE:

Cool along the coast with morning fog patches, otherwise
fine and warm to hot but very hot in the north.
The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly
to south-westerly.

7. WESTERN CAPE:

Cool along the coast with morning fog patches along the south
coast, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm.
The wind along the coast will be moderate south-easterly,
becoming fresh to strong south-westerly along the west coast
by the afternoon.

8. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE:

Cloudy and cool along the coast, but fine and warm over
the interior. Fog and mist is expected in places along
the coast in the evening.
The wind along the coast will be moderate south-easterly.

9. EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE:

Partly cloudy and cool along the coast, with evening fog. It
will be partly cloudy north of the Amatole mountains in the
morning with light rain and showers. The interior will become
fine and warm from late morning.
The wind along the coast will be moderate south-easterly.

10. KWAZULU-NATAL:

Fine and hot, but very hot in places over the interior. It
will become partly cloudy in the after with isolated showers
and thundershowers in the west and southern interior.
The wind along the coast will be gentle westerly to south-
westerly south of Richards Bay at first, otherwise moderate
easterly to north-easterly, freshening in the north in the
afternoon.
