Two senior police officers retire from the SAPS
Yesterday two long-serving senior officers, Lieutenant General Deliwe De Lange and Lieutenant General Mmamonnye Ngobeni have retired from the South African Police Service.
General De Lange, the Provincial Commissioner of Gauteng and General Ngobeni, the Provincial Commissioner of KwaZulu-Natal have served the organisation and the country for 35 and 31years respectively.
The National Commissioner of Police, General Khehla John Sitole thanked both Generals and wished them well in their retirement.
In the meantime Major General Max Masha will be acting as the Provincial Commissioner of Gauteng and Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkwanazi will continue as the Acting Provincial Commissioner of KwaZulu-Natal until further notice.
