Media release below via South African Police Service –

The Hawks’ Serious Corruption Investigation team is appealing to the public to assist in tracing Prone also known as Aron Motsai who can assist in a case of fraud and corruption.

On Thursday, 14 January 2021, an emerging business owner was contacted telephonically by someone purporting to be an employee attached to the Supply Chain Management (SCM) section of the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) after she had submitted an application for the advertised tender.

The business owner was told that the tender which she had applied for was about to be finalised and she should deposit R25 000 on 15 January 2021 if she wants the tender to be awarded to her. Account details were furnished for her to deposit the money and she instead reported the matter to the Hawks for investigation.
