Western Cape officer crowned world champion for shore angling.
Paarl: Lieutenant Colonel Kabous Louw, based at Paarl POPS, has been crowned shore angling world champion for a second time. In November 2016 at the World Shore Angling Championships in Ireland she became the first South African woman to achieve this milestone.
From 20 to 26 October 2018 she again represented our country at the 26th World Shore Angling Championships for women in Llundudno, Wales where she not only became world champion for a second time, but also won the category for catching the most fish. In addition thereto, the SA Proteas achieved second place overall.
In February next year Lieutenant Colonel Louw will be representing South Africa at the World Angling Games to be hosted in the west coast town of Langebaan, South Africa.
