Pedestrian Run Over By Three Trucks: R102 Mt. Edgecombe – KZN

An pedestrian was killed after he was run over by three trucks on the south bound lane of the R102 in Mt. Edgecombe this afternoon (Friday).

At approximately 18:43 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by passing motorists reporting the accident. Upon arrival the mutilated body of an unidentified man was found lying on the painted island separating the on ramp and the left lane of the R102. Due to the extent of his injuries the pedestrian died at the scene.

According to the driver of a Municipal truck he was travelling on the dark stretch of road when he knocked into the pedestrian who was attempting to cross the road. Two other trucks who were behind him drove over the man and continued without stopping.

The occupants of truck were not injured in the accident.
