Western Cape: Two suspects arrested in Lwandle with two unlicensed firearms
The swift response of members of Lwandle Crime Prevention unit resulted in the arrest of two suspects in their twenties for being in possession of two unlicensed firearms last night.
The members were busy with crime prevention duties in Asanda Village when their attention was drawn to a shooting incident in Mgidlana Street. The members who were in the vicinity, reacted on the gunshots and apprehended the two suspects with a 9mm pistol and a 7.65 pistol.
Both suspects are due to make a court appearance in Khayelitsha on Monday to face charges of possession of unlicensed firearms. Serious and violent crimes are high on our priority list, and it is our endeavour to disarm criminals in this province. #GunsOffTheStreets #SaferCommunities
